As our school community continues to grow, so do the number of students who are getting dropped off/picked up each day. What doesn’t increase is our parking availability and outdoor space. Safety is our priority.
Drop Off
If you are dropping your child off in the morning, here are a few important notes you need to know:
● Students can be dropped off between 8:00 AM - 8:35 AM in our drop off circle located in front of the main doors. Please do not park in the drop off lane and get out of your vehicle as we have staff who can help open the vehicle door for your child if needed.
● If necessary to get out of your vehicle, you must park in a parking space. Please do not create your own space, if there are no parking spaces please park on the side of the road.
● Students dropped off between 8:00 AM - 8:25 AM will go directly to the playground to play.
● Students dropped off between 8:25 AM - 8:35 AM will go in their designated grade level doors.
Pick Up
If you are picking up your child at the end of the school day, here are a few important notes you need to know:
● Pick up is at 2:50. Park on the side of the road facing the St.Peters Highway and when the buses depart the parking lot, you may drive in, in a single line format and come up to the school. Students will then get in the vehicle. Once the vehicle directly in front of you is ready to leave, you may do so as well. There cannot be anyone cutting the line and departing before their turn.
● The morning drop-off lane is used only at the end of the day for students with special needs, mobility constraints or taxi services. There is no parking in this lane at any time. Also, there is no cutting out around a vehicle. You need to wait until the vehicle ahead of you is leaving.
● Parking is limited and you cannot create your own parking space. If there is no parking available, you will need to park on the side of the road.
● If you need to get out of your car to get your child, you need to be in a designated parking space or on the side of the road. We HIGHLY encourage you to pick up at 2:50 and use the bus parking lot. This is the safest option for all – especially our students.
● If you need to pick up your child before the end of the day, the rules still apply, you need to be in a designated parking spot or on the side of the road. Please do not create your own parking spot.
● Please do not park in the walkways or use the two designed accessibility parking spots unless you have a permit to do so.
*If your child rides a bike or scooter to school, please ensure they know the road safety rules. E-scooters and e-bikes are not permitted as you must be at least 16 years of age to operate them.
